Architects, in Terni the very young Aurora Vannini wins for the Fai logo

TERNI – «The awarding of the logo of the Foundation of the Order of Architects, Planners, Landscapers and Conservationists of the Province of Terni, in abbreviated form also the Architects Foundation
Interamna (FAI), was a fundamental event for our Order – announces the president,
the architect Stefano Cecere – because he defined the symbol that will distinguish it from now on
forward and has paved the way for the very important commitments already planned.”

The first place, and therefore the winner of the competition announced by the FAI, was Aurora Vannini, with her project n°13, from the IVC Graphics class, of the Orneore Metelli artistic high school of the Classical and Artistic Higher Education Institute of Terni of head teacher Roberta Bambini and teacher Rita Pepegna.
«The logo proposed by the student Vannini has a very profound meaning», comments the
President Cecere, then quoting the words of the report on the motivation for the victory: «it suggests the shape of a spiral, a symbol of evolution and continuous growth towards knowledge and the future. The creative idea originated from the structure of a baroque staircase seen from above. The center of the composition is represented by a yellow square, symbol of light and intellectual vivacity. The rounded corners favor the continuous movement of the spiral that develops infinitely. The spiral staircase is an element used over time, up to the present day where the architect Mario Ridolfi in Terni proposed this solution in many of his works”.
«The FAI – continues President Cecere – an expression of the Order and its Council, is an extremely important instrument, due to its legal, administrative and proactive form, and of strengthening for the Order itself, of functionality for its members and of consultancy for administrations. It will soon see the establishment of the new Scientific Committee: an active and active part of the work and control over ideas and projects for the territory of the Province. Among future commitments, a second level university Master’s degree will soon be established. Following this, a cultural event of no less importance will be organized at a national and international level. Today I would like to highlight the collaboration with the University of Perugia and the contribution of the professor of Architecture and Architectural and Urban Composition, prof. Paolo Verducci. In this regard, in the Bazzani Hall of the Pala Sì, we organized a conference on the eleven proposals for the redevelopment of the Piediluco-Marmore ecosystem, created by the students of the Architecture and Composition 2 course of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, a workshop entitled ‘Tra the coast and the waterline’. On this event, the commitment of the Order, and now also of the Foundation, continues to be vigilant throughout the territory of the Province, as already demonstrated and announced with the two previous events in October and November, “Architecture and Territory in the city of the built ” and “Environment, Nature and Architecture”.
With the upcoming commitments announced above, the Interamna Architects Foundation thus comes to life
of his work, closes President Cecere.
