The objective is to “flush out” “Centro per Cuneo” which in the city is part of the centre-left majority, while in the Region one of its councilors is running with the centre-right

An agenda against the health policy of the president of the Piedmont region Alberto Cirio. It was presented by the council group “Independent” and will be discussed and voted on in the next city council. The objective, as the leader of the group explains in the presentation Facebook post Giancarlo Boselliis to verify how the “Centro per Cuneo” group will vote in this regard, which in the city is part of the centre-left majority, while in the Region “he has nominated one of his Councilors (Maria Laura Risso ed.) with the centre-right and will get Cirio to vote”.

The text recalls article 32 of the Italian Constitution in which the Republic protects health as a fundamental right of the individual and explains how the reduction of investments in the National Health System affects the weakest segments of the population and favors private healthcare. A health policy whose settings, according to Independents, are shared by President Cirio whose choices are increasingly “towards the private sector”, even in the construction of new hospitals.

Finally, recalling that Piedmont is losing positions in the evaluations of the Ministry of Health, Indipendenti asks the Council to express its opposition to this policy, hoping for one more in line with the constitutional dictate.
