6 hours of Spa 2024, the race: The first victory arrives for a private team, Hertz Team Jota #12. Porsche took a double in both categories.

The first victory for a private team in the history of Hypercars arrives, with the victory of the prosche 963 #12 of the Jota team. Ferrari was mocked, having dominated most of the race. Porsche takes a one-two in GT after a sleepless night.

The 6 hours of Spa Francorchamps ended, with the surprise victory of the Porsche 963 #12 of the private team Hertz Team Jota.

Race full of twists and turns, with Ferrari dominating in the early hours, broken up by a much discussed episode, namely the extension of the race after the red flag caused by a very bad accident of the #2 Cadillac.

In fact, after the red flag stop, which lasted about two hours, it was decided to add 1 hour and 40 minutes to restart, favoring the two Porsches that had already pitted, the #6 and the #12, and therefore projecting them into first and second position.

The Porsche #6 of the official Porsche Penske Motorsport team then finished second, maximizing the points in a race in which they did not demonstrate much performance.

Its sister, Porsche #5, retires after an accident before the last two corners of Micheal Christensen, who was unable to restart due to the damage.

The two official Ferrari 499Ps, the #50 and the #51, finished in third and fourth position respectively, leaving a bad taste in the mouth for the lack of victory, but still managing to recover many positions after a disastrous qualifying.

A bitter taste also for the #99 Porsche 963, also a victim of the red flag, which led much of the race at the start.

Sixth and seventh were Toyota #8 and #7, who were also in quite difficulty during the race.

The private Ferrari 499P of the AF Corse team was eighth, trying, in vain, to recover in the final hours of the race.

Closing out the Top 10 are a good Alpine #35, which had some difficulties in the race, but which has certainly seen a lot of improvements since the last race, and the Peugeot #93, which is starting to see some performance from their car.

BMW finishing far behind, thanks to some contacts and some problems during the race.
Good race also for Isotta Fraschini, who managed to complete the race without any particular problems.

Cadillac #2 which, after a crazy race, ends the race with a violent accident on the Kemmel straight, fortunately without consequences for the driver Earl Bamber.

In LMGT3 comes a great one-two for Porsche, with the #91 winning (after many misfortunes), taking with it the #92, which after a sleepless night on the part of the mechanics, was rebuilt from scratch.

Manthey Racing takes home a nice haul of points, since both of the WRT team’s BMW M4 LMGT3s had to retire after being involved in two accidents.

Immediately behind the two Porsches we find the two Lamborghinis of the Iron Lynx team, who had to do a splash and go in the last 3 laps.

Finally, an uphill race for the two Ferrari 296 LMGT3s of the Vista AF Corse team, with the #54 and #55 finishing in sixth and thirteenth position respectively.

The next one will be the most important and most coveted race, the 24 hours of Le Mans, scheduled from 12 to 16 June.
