The news of the death of Tomas Franchini, the mountaineer from Madonna di Campiglio who fell over 600 meters from the Andes while on an expedition with his Chilean companion Cristobal Señoret Zobeck, came like a bolt from the blue.
A well-known figure in Trentino, the 35-year-old, who for years was a guest at the Trento Film Festival to talk about his passion: the mountains. Today Mauro Leveghi, president of the mountain film festival, wanted to dedicate a thought to the Trentino mountaineer:
