VIBO VALENTIA «This city wants change. From here starts a message of news and hope for Vibo and its surroundings which will end on June 10th with our election.” Francesco Muzzopappa inaugurates its headquarters for the electoral campaign that will lead to the elections of 8 and 9 June. The center candidate, who today presented the five lists in support of him, appears confident, challenges his opponents and attacks that «system that operates behind the scenes, voracious and insatiable, which has tormented the city and its surroundings». Muzzopappa demands, on the contrary, «full freedom. We are free men and women, we don’t have to give an account to anyone.” Representatives of the civic lists and the regional secretary of Action were present in the room Francesco De Nisi and the former regional councilor Bruno Censor. Words of thanks from the candidate also for Michele Ranieri and, above all, for Vito Pitaro: «I am not afraid to say that with me there is the City of the Future, I am proud and proud to have them with me».
Muzzopappa focuses on the hamlets
Healthcare, investments and above all valorising all the hamlets. Muzzopappa indicates the path to follow and presents his candidates to the City Council: «Ours – he states to the microphones of Courier of Calabria – these are great lists. We hope to be able to convince the voters and women of Vibo to trust us. I am convinced that I am conveying this message of hope so that Vibo can truly be reborn, recover and begin a path towards an absolutely positive future». The lawyer relaunches and explains the slogan “Enough compromises”: «Our way of doing politics is different from that of others. We are for a free city, made up of discussion and dialogue with all categories, associations and parties. Every choice we make must be shared as much as possible. We will never get involved, we will behave respecting legality and transparency, always giving an account to Vibo and its fractions of what we are going to do».
The Limardo administration “conditioned by cumbersome presences”
On the concepts of legality and transparency, the center candidate reiterates and promises: «For us they will be in first place. The moment I realize that I am unable to guarantee legality and transparency, I will have no hesitations and will resign immediately and I will go and report those situations that deserve to be examined by the competent authorities.” Two concepts that will be the basis of an action aimed at the rebirth of Vibo, although Muzzopappa does not despise the work of the outgoing mayor Maria Limardo. «I had and still have respect for her, but I believe and am convinced that it has been strongly influenced by cumbersome presences especially in the last period. I say this without any fear and I am convinced of this. I think that in the end the administration suffered heavily from it” explained the lawyer.
De Nisi: «Muzzopappa is the right candidate»
Also supporting the center candidate Francesco De Nisi, regional secretary of Action and candidate in the European elections for Calenda’s party. To the microphones of Corriere della Calabria he explained the choice to support Francesco Muzzopappa: «Ours is a center party, we are not aligned with either of the two poles. I thought it was appropriate and right to make a choice here in Vibo where there was the possibility of creating a center coalition to choose a moderate person.” De Nisi says «confident that we can win the elections, we will definitely get to the run-off, but there are also chances of winning in the first round. Above all, we want to help choose a mayor who can truly change the face of this city because for many years things have always been regressing, we always go back and I think that breaking with the past and choosing Muzzopappa is the right choice.” On the hypothesis of a run-off, the secretary of Action does not exclude the possibility of reaching an agreement with one of the two parties: “We are a center force and many of us come from the left, so I think there are certainly these possibilities.” (Ma.Ru.)
