42 individuals and 39 legal entities were involved in an investigation into tax fraud and money laundering

Since 7.00 this morning, over 50 men from the Terni Financial Police, with the support of the ICO Central Service, have carried out a precautionary patrimonial measure for a total of over 12 million euros. 42 natural persons and 39 legal persons were involved, for crimes ranging from tax fraud to money laundering.

Since 07.00 this morning, over 50 men of the Terni Financial Police, supported by the soldiers of the ICO Central Service and the sub-delegated Corps Departments, have been engaged in the execution of a precautionary patrimonial measure against 42 natural persons and 39 legal entities. The provision, issued by the GIP of the Court of Terni, concerns a total of 12,552,360.53 Euros and concerns crimes of criminal association aimed at tax fraud, undue compensation, issuing invoices for non-existent operations, money laundering and self-laundering.

The operations led to the seizure of company complexes, assets and financial resources of the suspects in the Terni area and in 14 other Italian provinces, including Milan, Turin, Novara, Verona, Lucca, L’Aquila, Teramo, Viterbo, Rome, Naples , Potenza, Catania, Sassari and Nuoro. Furthermore, thanks to the collaboration with the judicial authorities through EUROJUST, assets were also identified and affected in Romania.

The details of the operation will be made known during the press conference called by the Prosecutor of Terni at 12.30 pm at the Provincial Headquarters of the local Financial Police.
