Wednesday May 15th, at 6pmthe ViaConvento 2024 program continues at the former Capuchin Convent in via Brigata Sassari, with a new event dedicated to the author Eugenio Miliawho will present the book on the occasion ‘Geomusic – From the horse’s hair to the Condor’s feathers’ (Youcantprint, 2023)with the participation of the illustrator Francesca Savona. The comedian, actor and television presenter will dialogue with the author Massimiliano Meddafounder of the Lapola theater company.
“Moved by the need to offer young people a new and interesting perspective of observation of musical instruments, I began to study the characteristics and origins of the materials with which they are constructed – said the author -. Fascinating data emerged and, times, curious people who pushed me to create an editorial project capable of organically collecting the result of this experience. Thus, Geomusica – From the horse’s hair to the Condor’s feathers was born!
The book is designed for very young enthusiasts and for very curious adults of all ages and aims to accompany the reader in discovering the extraordinary link between nature and music.
Eugenio Milia after his academic training in the fields of musical composition, piano and orchestral conducting, he began his teaching activity. Since the mid-90s he has worked as a substitute teacher at the Fondazione Teatro Lirico of Cagliari for which he currently coordinates the training activities of new audiences.
Francesca Savona, architect and illustrator, she works in Italy and France seeking a balance between her technical profession and her creative passion.
The presentation of the book will be held in the Hall of Frescoes at the Ex Convent of the Capuchins in via Brigata Sassari. Entrance is free and reservation is not necessary.
