Yesterday evening, around 10.00 pm, the police intervened near Via Marconi following a report of a man having a temper tantrum inside an ethnic venue. Once the police arrived on site, they made contact with the owner of the business who reported that a man – of Libyan origin, approximately 35 years old, legally on national territory – after having ordered a plate of food, refused to pay the bill, which it amounted to around 5 euros. In particular, the man reported that the thirty-five-year-old, after refusing to pay the amount due, became upset when asked to pay the bill and threw a glass plate at the owner, slightly injuring him in the face. At the same time, the police requested the intervention of medical personnel on site to provide first aid to the injured man. At that moment the thirty-five-year-old came out of the toilet, in a clear state of psycho-physical alteration due to the abuse of alcoholic substances, and was about to lash out at the man again, but was immediately stopped by the police. When asked to provide a document, the man categorically refused and was therefore accompanied to the offices in via Gervasoni. Here he was released in a state of freedom at the disposal of the AG for disorderly drunkenness pursuant to art. 688 cp and for the violation of art. 6 co. 3 d.lvo. 286/98 for not having complied with the order to show an identity document.
