Bad weather in Lombardy, storm in the Pavia area: woman stuck in car

The wave of bad weather comes to a head in the North, causing heavy rain and flooding in the Modena area, where there is a risk of flooding, and severe thunderstorms in several other regions. Rain and thunderstorms are ongoing in almost all of the Lombardy, where the red weather alert has been issued. In the early afternoon, a storm hit part of theOltrepò Pavesecausing damage and numerous inconveniences.

The Fire Brigade had to intervene to rescue a 74-year-old woman who was stuck in her car on a road in the municipal area of Zavattarello (Pavia), invaded by water and mud following one landslide. The 74-year-old called 112. The elderly woman was made to get out of the car: fortunately, there were no physical consequences for her, apart from her understandable fear. The technicians of the mountain community and the Civil Protection intervened to remove stones, debris and mud from the road and allow traffic to resume.

Problems have also been recorded in other hilly areas of the Oltrepò Pavese, in particular in the area of Golferenzo And Volpara: water and mud invaded the streets and even some vineyards.
