Emergency-Urgency: 51 doctors recruited, zero at Ruggi in Salerno

The single regional competition for 363 medical managers to be employed in the emergency rooms of Campania becomes a coincidence: of the 62 winners, in fact, called to the Region, 51 showed up. Eleven opted for the ASL Salerno structures, while the others were divided between the Avellino, Naples, Caserta and Benevento structures and none chose the Ruggi hospital in Salerno as the headquarters.

ASL Avellino n.1

ASL Naples 3 South n.9

Ao Moscati Avellino n.6

Ao Colli Napoli n.5

Ao Cardarelli n.2

ASL Napoli 1 Center n.7

Local health authority Caserta n.6

ASL Napoli 2 Nord n.4

Asl Salerno n.11

Ao San Pio Benevento 0

Ao San Sebastiano Caserta 0

Aou Ruggi d’Aragona Salerno 0

Zero doctors, therefore, at the hospital in via San Leonardo which, for months, has been in great difficulty due to the lack of white coats who can carry out emergency shifts. But, evidently, the appeal of the “Ruggi” emergency room is very minimal and the working conditions do not encourage doctors to choose it as a place to practice their profession

The “Ruggi”, therefore, remains understaffed and Antonio Capezzuto, general secretary, and Massimiliano Voza, coordinator of doctors and health management of ASL Salerno of the FP CGIL, report having received “complaints from many medical specialists who suspect that they are not were admitted as they were enrolled in specialization schools similar to the discipline advertised, but not slavishly to the discipline in question. All this despite the clarifications provided by the General Directorate of the Ministry of Health, which specifies that even specialists enrolled in equivalent specialization schools can certainly be admitted to the competitive procedures”. The CGIL “has asked the Salerno Local Health Authority to re-evaluate the case to avoid unfair exclusions, but no response has – yet – been received”.
