THE JOURNEY OF THE NEW PADUA HOSPITAL CONTINUES

“The project for the largest hospital in Italy has been approved: not only for beds, for the modernity of the departments and for the cutting-edge equipment, but also for the extraordinary capacity for treatment and networking with other structures in the area. With the technical-economic feasibility project we have placed the last piece of the administrative path, before the definitive design, functional to the construction site to come. A process that the Veneto Region has conducted with the University Hospital of Padua, but also with the actors of the Padua area, involved in the public consultations and a virtuous path of great synergy”. This is the comment of the President of the Veneto Region upon the approval of the technical-economic feasibility project of the new Padua East hub. The news was released in the afternoon through a regional press release. Certainly one of the most important expectations for the residents of Padua, the construction of the New Hospital Complex which should, barring unforeseen circumstances, see the light of day in 2031 on a surface area of 40 hectares, reachable through various road connections as well as from the Sir2 tram line and with cycle paths. We also remember the construction of a research tower and a service hub as well as 963 beds, 90 of which are intensive care.
