As planned, the cleaning operation on the Catanzaro beach began this morning. The city councilors gave the news Francesco Assisi and Antonio Barberio who applaud the initiative of the Environment sector, led by councilor Giorgio Arcuri.
“The work includes waste removal and recovery of polluting materials. The area in front of the port was also cleaned up. The aim is to ensure the beach is clean and safe for everyone as the summer season approaches. This is a concrete action to restore the coast – after the winter – to its natural splendor and make it safe for citizens and tourists to use. This intervention also marks the commitment of the Municipal Administration on the environmental front and the rediscovery of the beauty of our coastline, already awarded the Blue Flag in 2023. Furthermore, we take this opportunity to remember the importance of respecting the environment. Every gesture counts, and keeping our beaches clean is everyone’s responsibility. We therefore invite citizens to actively collaborate by maintaining responsible behavior and reporting any situations of degradation that may occur.”
