Electrosmog: 311 families ask for an account of the effects of the power line between Charvensod and Aymavilles. The Valley Council has approved unanimously a motion from the Forza Italia group so that the requests of the inhabitants are taken into consideration and the ARPA report made known in a short time on the possible effects of the power line on the Chevrot school building, on the homes and on the companies affected by the section of the network.

The initiative

Presented by the blue councilor Mauro Baccega «the text also urges the group leaders to receive, within a reasonable timeframe, the ARPA report which best clarifies the possible effects of the power line on the Chevrot school building, on the homes and on the companies affected by the section of the network».

Baccega, in recalling the hearing in the third Commission of Terna’s technicians, brought to the attention of the Chamber «the reports of over 311 families in this area who complain about Terna Rete Italia SpA’s failure to comply with the Memorandum of Understanding signed with the Region for the application of the strategic environmental assessment to the electrical planning of the regional territory, with particular regard to the positioning of the power line pylons in the vicinity of homes and schools such as, for example, the nursery and primary school of Chevrot”.

Given that the line is still in the planning phase and that negotiations can still be opened with local administrations, for FI «it is important to continue to carefully follow the dossier and take into consideration the reports of the inhabitants of Gressan, Jovençan and Aymavilles» .

The reply

Councilor Sapinet replied that, as emerged from the discussion with Terna in the Commission, «there is a need to intervene on that stretch of line, built in the 1940s, with maintenance works or replacement of the pylons. The work of consultation with local authorities has been undertaken and will continue to be carried out, therefore for the Government the spirit of the motion is acceptable”.

The councilor also specified that ARPA is already preparing a report on the impact of the power line and agreed with the desire to share the document with the group leaders.
