The hope is that the police will be able to identify the culprit, or those responsible, for this tragic, brutal and senseless crime. But to me, specifically, after the firm condemnation of a gesture that finds no explanation, except in the many forms of deviance and alienation that the human mind can unfortunately encounter, it is my responsibility to deal with another aspect. Not legal, not psychiatric and not even sociological, but rather, in addition to being connected to human compassion, eminently political, because that is my sphere of competence.

And in this regard, I can only urge the City Council, of which I am also a member, to speed up the appointment of the Animal Ombudsman, which I believe the majority and the Council will have to immediately take into consideration, based on recent intentions already oriented in this direction. . So don’t delay any more. And, on the contrary, proceed as soon as possible. Because we are talking about an act of civility in relation to which, I for one, will be committed with all my strength to facilitate the decisive passage in the Chamber with the launch of the act.
