CROTONE “There Healthcare approaches the citizensreducing the expense and the pressure on hospitals and ensuring the coordinated development ofterritorial assistance. Tuesday May 14th at 11am will be inaugurated Cotthe Territorial operations center of Crotone, the first activated among the twenty-one planned in Calabria by the Regional Operational Plan of the Pnrrapproved by the governor Roberto Occhiutoas acting commissioner».
This was announced in a press release issued byProvincial health company of Crotone. «The Crotone structure and the one nearing completion in Mesoraca – explains the note -, constitute the two COTs envisaged by the Pnrr as regards the Crotone Provincial Health Authority, led by extraordinary commissioner Antonio Brambilla. Financed by the Pnrr, the Cot will carry out the function of coordination of patient care and liaison between services and professionalsthrough an innovative organizational model, in order to ensure continuity, accessibility and integration of health and social careensuring interoperability standards and the interface with hospitals and the hospital networkemergency-urgency».
«The aim of the Cot – he goes into detail – is to guarantee a new network organisation, where the services and professionals of the system are connected, integrated and available to the population in local structures, designed for multidisciplinary care. The patient will then be able to follow a defined care path, which will accompany him from the beginning, starting from doctor of general medicineuntil to resignation et al post hospitalization and will also be followed in follow up and in the rehabilitation».
«Furthermore – the note adds – the territorial operations center will provide a information and logistical support to network professionalsregarding district activities and services, as well as dealing with monitoring of patients in home carealso through tools telemedicine and management of the technological support platform for taking charge of the person, in order to collect and classify needs”.
«The Cot of Crotone – continues the note – was born from renovation of part of thebuilding that houses 118some clinics and the Csmin United Nations Streetin the district Tufolo. The structure has suitable dimensions and a strategic position, being in a peripheral neighborhood, with direct entrance from the main road and being served by public transport. It has a dimension beyond 130 net square metres, of which approximately 75 are reserved for the coordination and monitoring rooms and the IT technical office».
«The renovation and adaptation works of the rooms and systems – underlines the note -, for which European resources equal to approximately 170,000 eurosbegan in June 2023 and ended in March 2024. Interconnection interventions, i.e software platform, telephone exchanges and VoIP telephones, were created thanks to 70,000 euros of Pnrr funding and approximately 140,000 of funds from the ASP of Crotone. The provincial health authority also provided, with its own resources, the maintenance of the air conditioning system, supply of workstations, telephone equipment, peripherals and softwarethe general commissioning of the activities, the network connections and the supply of an uninterruptible power supply for the emergency line, in support of the generator”, concludes the note.
