June is approaching, and the beach clubs of Italy – and of the Romagna Riviera in particular – are preparing to inaugurate the summer: the event staged at the Grand Hotel Majestic “gia Baglioni” was the equivalent of a kick off of season. There is also the Maré di Cesenatico from the Zaccheroni family among the best beach clubs, awarded in particular for the suggestive location close to the canal port.

The 5-star luxury hotel in Bologna hosted an evening dedicated to the sector, with the preview presentation of the Guide to the best Beach Clubs in Italy, which had just arrived in the bookstore, in the presence of the authors – the journalist from Vogue Italia, Milano Finanza, Gambero Rosso and several other publications Andrea Guolo and Tiziana Di Masi, theater actress, writer and blogger -, followed by the award ceremony of the most virtuous realities of Emilia-Romagna.

The title of best beach club in the region was awarded by the Group’s General Manager, Franco Vanetti, to the owner of Fantini Club in Cervia, Filippo Fantini, third generation of the Fantini family. Founded in 1959, in addition to winning the 3 Umbrellas, the editors of the Guide report, “it has made and continues to make the history of the concept of beach club in Italy”. Boca Barranca in Marina Romea, the protagonist of an important qualitative transformation over the years under the management of Eugenio and Francesca, with the kitchen entrusted to Irvin Zannoni, has established itself in the catering sector, winning the Cà Maiol Award – Best beach restaurant Fvg 2024.

The San Greg by Feudi di San Gregorio Award for best design instead went to Globus Beach in Milano Marittima, conceived as a true “living room of the sea”. The Audit People Award, a prize for quality and sustainability, was won by Spiaggia Le Palme in Riccione, a structure owned by the Leardini Group, at the top of the regional offer with 3 umbrellas. Instead, it is the Prestige in Lido delle Nazioni that has won the Doumix Award for the best beverage in the region, thanks to its important cellar and an excellent cocktail menu.

The best location is the Maré in Cesenatico, which won the Meraviglioso Club Award thanks to its position close to the Leonardesco Canal Port of Cesenatico. Finally, the Grand Hotel Majestic “Già Baglioni” Award, dedicated to mood and atmosphere, was awarded by Director Biondi to Singita Miracle Beach in Marina di Ravenna, a brand that has become famous for its ritual of the aperitif at sunset.
