She had gone to the city jail to visit her detained son. Not a simple conversation, apparently: during the ritual checks the woman was in fact found in possession of drugs. The narcotic, intended for her son, was kept inside a package well hidden in her underwear.
It was a scrupulous prison police officer who found him: the 60-year-old was trying to introduce 60 grams of hashish into the city prison of Canton Mombello. She didn’t succeed, thanks to the meticulousness of the policewoman who yesterday, Wednesday 8 May, was in charge of checking the relatives who were supposed to meet the family members detained in the designated area of the penitentiary.
The news was given by Sinappe, the prison police union which in a note underlines the professionalism of the policewoman in charge of the interviews and “expresses applause to her colleague, who worked with self-sacrifice, demonstrating a high sense of duty”, also specifying that: ” It will be the responsibility of this trade union organization to ask the Management to forward the documentation to the competent Commission, so that the excellent work done is recognised”.
