One month before the elections the electoral machine started. The headquarters for depositing the ballots is the Municipality of Cremona, in particular the electoral office which houses the district commission. This year, given the high number of municipalities voting in addition to the capital municipality, in addition to the primary commission (the district), six other subcommissions were established.

After the filing of the lists which must be done by Saturday, “these – as explained by Miriam Lena, head of demographic services and the electoral office – will be sent to the district commission based in the Municipality for examination and definitive admission. Not only will the lists of the capital, therefore Cremona, be examined, but also those of the other 85 municipalities involved in the administrative elections. Then on Monday there will be a draw for the symbols to be placed on the ballots and posters.”

In total, those entitled to vote in Cremona to date are 56,056; it will be necessary to take into account any deceased persons between now and May 25th when the list will be blocked. Instead, the newly adults who will vote for the first time in Cremona are 216. The law – continued Miriam Lena – provides that those European citizens who have requested it can vote: for the European elections there are 122 applicants for the administrative elections, however they are in all 390″.
