«Design is a Lombard and Italian heritage confirmed by the record numbers of the 62nd edition of the Salone del Mobile Milan last April – he said Mazzali illustrating the official data of the Salone del Mobile 2024, held at Rho Fiera Milano from 15 to 21 April 2024 – There were over 370,000 visitors (+17% compared to 2023) at the Milan Design Week which attracts an audience from all over the world to the Lombardy capital, starting with sector operators, who this year were +26.8%, of which 65.8% come from abroad. A week of great attraction also for brands, this year 1,950, from 35 foreign countries, which saw the involvement of 13,500 young designers. Numbers that give an idea of ​​the potential of the creativity and wood-furniture sector of our Lombardy Region which, with the ‘lights out’ of the Design Week, exports extraordinary mobile numbers, which go to homes around the world. Thanks, therefore, to our brilliant capital, Milan, but also thanks to our furniture districts: Monza Brianza, which alone covers 40% of the regional turnover of wood-furniture (with 1,325 companies), Como (865) and Lecco (121 )».

Success also for the regional events organized for the Fuorisalone at Palazzo Lombardia: 12 thousand admissions to the exhibitions “Sentimental journey in Lombardy” by Jacopo Ascari, author of the design sketches depicting the 12 provinces for the regional brand ‘Lombardia Style’ exhibited at the Belvedere, “Iconic Women” by Domenico Pellegrino” and the “Everest Pyramid” in Piazza Città of Lombardy.
