Sunday 12 May, Piazza Vittorio Emanuele in Busto Arsizio will host “Art in the square”. A day of art and celebration, an agora of culture “en plein air” where artistic and cultural performances take place, readings of texts with music, creative workshops and a prize competition for the best work on display.
The artists
The artists are members and students of the CAB’s art and applied arts courses. Over 50 works of visual art will be on display on gigantic cubes with iron structures in the central space of the square.
The event is organized by Bustese Art Culture Center (CAB), an association established way back on July 14, 1977 with the primary aim of creating ever new opportunities to raise awareness and spread art at all levels. In fact, the courses in painting, drawing, watercolour, Tiffany stained glass, ceramic and wood inlay, artist’s books, creative writing, novel and short story are very well known and popular.

11.00am Duet of voice and sax La dolce vita Stefania and Luca
3.00 pm The artist and poet Andrea Corbella will read texts with musical accompaniment by Ivo Stelluti
4.00 pm Performance by the About 500 community choir from Pregnana Milanese
6.00 pm Award ceremony for the work voted by the popular jury
Artistic techniques workshops in which the CAB and writing courses with reading texts will be illustrated will take place throughout the day.
