“We are proud and satisfied with the day during which our drivers, who transport goods throughout Europe, were able to update themselves on the new regulations and test themselves in the name of maximum safety, both for themselves and for other road users,” he explains Domenico Tauroowner of Tauro Autotrasporti. The company from Teramo organized, last Saturday, May 4th, in its headquarters in Villa Zaccheo, a hamlet of Castellalto,The SiCura road with Tauro – respect, health and the environmentan initiative dedicated to safety in collaboration with the Police of Teramo and with the DedoDriving school of the pilot Alfredo De DominicisAci Sport federal instructor and Aifos trainer (Italian Association of safety trainers and operators).
“With the renewal of the vehicles, all of the latest generation, our fleet is now 90-95 percent green”, continued Tauro, “We are thus trying to make our particular contribution to protecting the environment. Furthermore, for the first time we had the honor of being able to collaborate with the Teramo Traffic Police. The modules created by the police have allowed our employees to further improve their awareness of the dangers of the road”.
“It was a second edition,” added Alfredo De Dominicis, “of an initiative that we also held here two years ago. The modules curated by the Stradale were very important for learning the new rules of the road while I, with my staff from the DedoDriving school, took care of the practical tests with a theoretical part dedicated to vehicle dynamics and improving posture. Drivers of heavy vehicles sit for many hours, and knowing how to best position themselves provides great benefits for a job that, however, is very demanding.”
About fifty drivers of heavy vehicles took part in the initiative, divided into 5 groups who took turns at 5 training stations lasting approximately 45 minutes each.
