The State Police arrested a 55-year-old man in flagrante delicto for the hypothesis of the crime of possession for the purpose of dealing narcotic substances.
As part of the services aimed at repressing drug dealing, the agents of the Falchi Section of the Flying Squad, on Saturday morning, carried out a surprise search inside a garage in the municipality of Quartu Sant’Elena, attributable to a man already arrested last April for possession for the purpose of drug dealing.
In the room, State Police operators found several voluminous cellophane wrappers containing dried marijuana, together with 21 blocks of the same substance, already processed and vacuum-packed, for a total weight of over 12 and a half kilograms.
For days the investigators had been keeping the garage under observation, where the man had recently moved numerous personal effects, hiding among them the narcotic and an electric sieve for processing the herbaceous substance.
During the first police operation last April, approximately 650 grams of hashish were found inside the suspect’s home, of which 50 were already packaged in a block and the remainder were being processed.
In particular, in the house there was the raw substance contained in a bag and a box, consisting of marijuana in the processing phase, the processing of which was carried out with various tools including a scale, a blender, an electric sieve, identical to the one found last Saturday and a sophisticated hydraulic press.
At the end of the tasks, the suspect was accompanied to the Uta prison, awaiting the validation hearing.
