Ana Karina Olaya is a new butterfly

The desire to be a protagonist, to raise the level of performance: there is a common thread that links the ambitions of Uyba Busto Arsizio with those of Ana Karina Olaya, twenty-two years old on September 13th, Colombian from Buenaventura.

The promising spiker (also very valid in the opposite role if necessary) is the first significant market coup achieved by sporting director Carmelo Borruto.

One of the young prospects of international volleyball arrives at the court of the new coach Giovanni Caprara.

Born competitively in the Colombian club Vallecaucana, Ana Karina Olaya arrived in Europe in the summer of 2020 by signing for the Portuguese CD Aves. In the following two seasons she remained on Portuguese soil but playing for Porto. Last season, however, the good player played for the Polish team Uni Opole with which she played in the play offs, finishing in seventh position.

Now the landing in Italy with destination Busto Arsizio: “I chose to come to Uyba because I found the validity and competence of the staff and because I will play with expert teammates who will help me improve my performance on the pitch”.
