Avellino, after the 0-0 draw with Vicenza at the Partenio Lombardi, will try to reach the Lega Pro play-off final tomorrow evening away from home. It won’t be easy to overcome the red and whites but if the Irpinias were to go through they could find themselves facing or Carrarese or Benevento for the last pass for the next Serie B. The Samnites, however, will have to recover from the 1-0 win at Vigorito by Finotto but at this point they are really hoping for the derby in the final. The Wolves hope the same as they won both 1-0 in the championship, finishing +3 behind their regional rivals.
Avellino coach Michele Pazienza, however, is focused only on Vicenza. These are his sentences in the press conference collected by colleagues from Tuttoavellino.it: “In general there is a bit of tiredness, some aches and pains, some fatigue, problems that opponents also have when several matches are played in a few days. On Vicenza: “How do we break down? We need to raise the pace, this is what we tried to do in the first leg, where we built 4-5 scoring opportunities. We will try to insist on this path. As mentioned, they are an opponent who doesn’t take goals, strong defensively, you have to be good, they are strong in open space, so when we attack we will try not to leave them on the pitch, where there are lethal players and they can hurt.”
On the climate of the fans: “This enthusiasm is a stimulus, these situations, these dynamics that develop are only a stimulus and not an additional pressure.
