Some activists gathered in the park in front of the building for a peaceful demonstration of solidarity. Outside there are four armored vehicles with police officers in uniform riot controlwith them also the men of the Digos.
At the moment, four activists have left the building, while the other two have remained on the roof. They are underway negotiations with the agents.
This is not the first occupation of the building: in 2013, the Digos had cleared theformer greenhouse at the end of May, after it had been occupied illegally for around two months.
The Fratelli d’Italia group in the city council expresses satisfaction with the eviction, highlighting in a note that, although “it has often been underlined that a committee of citizens was inclined to such an occupation, it is right to remember that there are also hundreds of families who last year suffered inconvenience due to the presence of occupants and related ones disorders And shouting, especially at night.”
For this reason the councillors, in thanking the police, reiterate that “occupations are never a solution and represent a crime, therefore they cannot and they must not be toleratednor supported by any political party”.
