Franco Coletti, a 47-year-old from Ateleta, one of the four disabled people involved in the minibus accident, died in the intensive care unit of the San Salvatore hospital in L’Aquila where he was hospitalized with a reserved prognosis. ANFASS went off the streets last March 28 after celebrating at the association’s headquarters in Castel di Sangro.

A tragic accident into which the public prosecutor’s office of Sulmona had opened an investigation and which in the next few hours will proceed to change the charge against the driver of the minibus from injuries to road homicide. Furthermore, to understand whether the death was a consequence of the accident or not, an autopsy will be carried out on the victim’s body.

Franco Coletti was one of the disabled people in the group on board the minibus which at 5pm on March 28th along state road 83 Marsicana, between Alfedena and Villa Scontrone, went off the road and overturned on the lawn. In addition to the motorists in transit, firefighters provided immediate assistance by extracting six injured people from the vehicle, all of whom were transported to hospital, including two in fairly serious conditions. Among them was Coletti who stopped fighting today after his condition had worsened in recent days.
