In Let me introduce you to minethe love story they are experiencing in Chicago Greg and Pam it’s really engaging. He is a nurse about to make the classic marriage proposal to his girlfriend, who works as a teacher in a private kindergarten. He tries to organize everything down to the smallest detail, but his plan has to be put aside the moment he finds out also Pam’s sister’s boyfriendBob, decided to do the same thing ahead of him by a few hours.
Etiquette dictates that to ask for the hand of young girls it is necessary to do so officially by addressing the father Jack who seems to be a particularly man traditionalist and rough. A couple of weeks later, the couple is invited to Jack’s house to spend a weekend in conjunction with the celebration of Pam’s sister’s wedding. For Greg this represents an unmissable opportunity to be able to turn to your own future father-in-law and thus ask for the hand of his beloved.
Probably partly due to the emotion and partly due to the behavior of the future father-in-law, for Greg there will be many problems to face. The experience immediately starts off in an unfortunate way, as he goes to the airport to catch the plane and the company loses the baggage in which he had inserted the expensive engagement ring just purchased. Things get even worse when he meets his father-in-law, who never misses an opportunity to belittle his characteristics, underlining the enormous behavioral and social differences compared to the whole family.
Greg, who tries in every way to impress Jack, who instead wants it discredit him to prevent him from marrying the daughter. Between funny situations and the total embarrassment of the various guests who will take part in the wedding, Greg will find himself literally fighting to be able to realize his love dream of living alongside his beloved Pam.
