Alexandria, 27 May 2024 – The Christian Workers Movement (MCL) organizes a meeting dedicated to reflection on democracy according to Pope Francis. The event will be held Wednesday 29 May at 6.30 pm in the representation room of the MCL Provincial Union at the Cloister of Santa Maria di Castello in Alessandria.

An in-depth look at the Pontiff’s Social Magisterium

The meeting, moderated by Marco Margrita, MCL regional president, and Piercarlo Fabbio, provincial president of the Movementwill see the participation of important speakers: Maria Rosaria Pilla, MCL national vice-president, and Pier Paolo Saleri, essayist and political analyst. Saleri, author of the volume “Money does not govern” (with Andrea Tornielli, Piemme editions), will discuss the implications of Pope Francis’ social teaching, highlighting the Pontiff’s criticisms of the poor governance of the world economy and social inequality.
