by Alessandro Aita

CASERTA – The Royal Palace of Caserta lands on Mickey Mouse. In the next issue of the best-selling weekly magazine in Italy for children and teenagers, number 3572, there will be a comic story inspired by the work of Luigi Vanvitelli and dedicated to the Museum of the Ministry of Culture. The city of Terra di Lavoro will become ‘Quackserta’ while the historic architect becomes ‘Vanenselli’ in the story ‘Uncle Scrooge and the royal inspiration’, starring the most famous ducks in Italy and the world followed by the Bassotti Gang. The subject and the screenplay are by Alessandro Sisti, no stranger to historical screenplays being the author of ‘Uncle Scrooge and the hundred and first song’, dedicated to the 700 years since the death of Dante Alighieri, while in 1997 he published in issue 2185 the story ‘Topolino-ino -ino’, entered into the Guinness Book of Records for being the smallest story in the world. The drawings are instead by Alessandro Perina, who also collaborated with Sisti on the story dedicated to Dante and was the designer of the ‘Mouse’ since 1991. See you at newsstands next Wednesday 8 May to see the pride of the city of Caserta ‘papered’ and protagonist of a certainly captivating story.
