Venezia’s success in the photo-finish against Feralpisalò, in fact, allowed the lagoon players to significantly shorten the Lombard team, postponing any verdict that will be pronounced in the last round of matches of the regular season. With the 1-1 draw for “Tardini” and the simultaneous defeat of Catanzaro, the Grigiorossi secure fourth place which will allow coach Giovanni Stroppa’s men to qualify for the semi-final of the play-offs. On the contrary, the Calabrians – like Palermo, Brescia and Sampdoria – will have to play in the preliminary round of the play-offs in order to continue their journey towards the Serie A dream.
