Remembering, celebrating, being together, sharing. This is the essence of the 95th National Gathering of the National Alpine Association, scheduled in Vicenza from 10 to 12 May. The city of Berica returns to host the event 33 years later, after the first time in history in 1991.
An edition called «The Alpini’s dream of peace», which according to the latest estimates will attract over 300 thousand Black Feathers from all over Italy. It also starts from Granda and between ANA members, friends, relatives and supporters, it will end up involving over half a million people.
To welcome them there will be many Italian flags, as a tribute to those values that belong to all of us, for which the Alpine troops fought and for which they still do their utmost today.
The program of the three-day National Alpine Gathering 2024 promises to be rich and significant. It starts on Friday 10 May at dawn with the solemn opening of the 95th meeting and the raising of the flag in Piazza dei Signori, followed by the laying of a wreath and the inauguration of the Alpini Citadel. The afternoon will see a parade of banners and banners.
On Saturday 11 May there will be a meeting at the Olympic Theater between the national president Sebastiano Favero with the foreign sections, the delegations of the International Federation of Mountain Soldiers and foreign soldiers and it will continue with religious celebrations and further parades. There is also anticipation for the performance of the Alpine choirs in the various churches and theaters in the Vicenza area and province, demonstrating the cultural and community importance of this historic gathering.
On Sunday 12 May, the day will culminate with the great parade of the Alpini, followed by the ceremony of passing the cue to the Biella section which will have the honor of organizing the national rally number 96 in 2025.
