Spending time with an “expert” resource in your field, through professional coaching that can make learning much quicker and more effective. In short, it is “job shadowing”, a methodology that allowed a large Umbrian school delegation to fly to Japan to exchange skills with institutes in various Japanese cities.
The visit, organized and coordinated by the general manager of EGInA, Altheo Valentini, took place from 13 to 29 April. Among the institutes involved there was also the “Frezzi-Beata Angela” classical and human sciences high school of Foligno, represented by Professor Roberto Fornetti, who within the institute has the role of instrumental function for Erasmus projects. With the presence of Professor Takeshi Tojo, professor of Japanese language and culture at the University for Foreigners of Perugia, the members of the Italian delegation had the opportunity to come into contact with managers and teachers of Japanese schools of different types and levels.
In addition to the visit to the schools in the cities of Maniwa, Okayama, Kyoto, Hiroshima, Yokohama, Omiya and Tokyo, the meeting with the director of the Italian Cultural Institute and with the vice minister of education at the seat of the Japanese Government.
According to the agreements between the parties, a student of the “Frezzi-Beata Angela” high school will leave next September for Maniwa, where she will attend lessons in the local high school for thirty days.
