SILVI. The municipal administration of Silvi takes the field, declaring itself ready to advance the necessary funds, to accelerate the completion of the cycle/pedestrian path that connects the city to the new bridge over the Piomba stream. The bridge, which is also passable by motor vehicles, is a strategic work for traffic and tourism in the area, which connects Silvi with Città Sant’Angelo and Montesilvano: it had a troubled gestation, marked by delays especially on the Pescara side due to problems related to expropriations, but now apparently the last obstacle to overcome is the connecting road on the Silvi side.
Mayor Andrea Scordella declares: «Given that all the works on the bridge over the Piomba were and remain the responsibility of the provincial administrations of Teramo and Pescara, it must be noted that at the moment the transit is not yet ready in the cycle section as there are some difficulties to overcome. As far as we are concerned, I would like to inform you that the Municipality of Silvi is ready to anticipate, for the Province and Region, the financial resources needed to complete the remaining works on the road connection of the bridge with Via Po on the Teramo side. In this sense, our technical office has developed a project and entrusted the work to a company to arrange the part of Silvi’s responsibility, i.e. the connections with the two roads, the driveway and the cycle path”.(red.te)
