Lollobrigida “Solar panels compatible with agricultural production”

ROME (ITALPRESS) – “We do not absolutely prohibit investments in photovoltaic, but we aim to introduce criteria that ensure compatibility with agricultural production. Criteria already followed for the chapter dedicated to agrivoltaics in the Pnrr and which have certainly not slowed down investments given that we have financed 13,500 companies and, when fully operational, we expect to support over 26 thousand with an installed capacity of 1.3 gigavatts of power, quadruple compared to forecasts.” This was declared by the Minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry, Francesco Lollobrigida, interviewed by Sole 24 Ore, clarifying that “there is no conflict with the Minister of the Environment, Gilberto Pichetto, with whom we are constantly in contact”. “We favor the production of solar energy from panels compatible with agricultural production. Therefore those placed on the roofs of stables and greenhouses and on agricultural appliances. Or systems that provide a height from the ground that does not impede agricultural production. Indeed, in the latter case there are structures that protect the crops from excess radiation or bad weather”, clarifies the minister.
