Sunday 05 May 2024 – 08:00

It opened its doors in the atrium of Palazzo Gambacorti, the historical exhibition organized on the occasion of 160 years since the foundation of the Italian Red Cross and gods 136 years since the establishment of the Pisa Committee of the Cri.

The exhibition brings together material and memorabilia from the historical collection of the Cri Committee of Pisa, of the Military Corps of the Italian Red Cross (the latter kept in Florence at the Tuscan Mobilization Center) and the historical archive of the Pisa Inspectorate of Nurses Cri volunteers.

Through objects, means and images it will be possible to retrace the history of humanitarian relief carried out at a local level and in armed conflicts by the Italian Red Cross with the use of men, hospitals, units and departments.

The exhibition, which will remain open until May 10, was set up by the Red Cross Committee of Pisa, in collaboration with the Tuscan Mobilization Center of the Volunteer Military Corps Cri and the Pisa Inspectorate of the Corps of Volunteer Nurses Cri and with the patronage of the Municipality of Pisa.
