Another afternoon of politics for the city of Foligno in view of the administrative elections next June. Another opportunity to get to know those citizens who have decided to take the field to make their contribution in the next five years of the legislature. The spotlight is on, this time, on the “Stefano Zuccarini mayor” list.
After the ribbon-cutting of the headquarters, in via Piazza del Grano, on Saturday 4 May the group of 24 aspiring councilors was presented, who decided to side with the current mayor, who is aiming for an encore in the next electoral round, supported by the center-right coalition whose ranks include the League (which will also include the candidates of the Union of the Center), Fratelli d’Italia, Forza Italia, Più in Alto, Noi moderates and – as mentioned – the “Stefano Zuccarini mayor” list .
Claudio Bianchini called them one by one on the stage set up inside the headquarters: they are 15 men and 9 women, including young people and adults, with different educational and professional experiences who have accepted the challenge of running in the next elections, espousing the project born around the outgoing mayor.
Also illustrated is the logo that accompanies this new reality, which is made up – as explained by Zuccarini himself – of “identifying elements of the city”, i.e. “the tricolor lily, because – he declared – we are attentive to our homeland, the little tower and the battlements of the Common”. “It is a non-partisan list in support of the mayor – he continued – which bases its strength on the value of the people who compose it. We don’t have a history – he underlined – but we believe that this list can make its contribution, because it includes passionate and competent people, who recognize themselves in a simple reasoning: they have seen the work of these five years and have given their judgment of good administration, appreciating what has been done. This is the added value – concluded Stefano Zuccarini – and we are convinced that we can make a contribution to the entire coalition”.
