It was the basilica of San Giovanni in Laterano that hosted the Holy Mass with the episcopal ordination of Father Davide Carbonaro elected Metropolitan Archbishop of Potenza Muro Lucano Marsico Nuovo by Pope Francis. THE
Numerous bishops, priests, seminarians and lay people from Lucania participated. The celebration was broadcast live on TRM network thanks to the collaboration with Telepace.
Monsignor Carbonaro’s entry into Basilicata will take place on May 18th. First stop the Sacro Monte of Viggiano (Potenza) to place her ministry under the protection of the Mother of God; immediately afterwards – again in private form – he will visit the hospice of the “San Carlo” hospital and in the Cathedral, the canonical possession of the diocese will take place. On the afternoon of May 18th, at 3 pm, a visit to the Potenza prison and a meeting with the inmates is scheduled; at 4pm, in Baden Powell park, the meeting with the authorities and, accompanied by the young people, the arrival in San Giovanni Bosco where, at 5pm, the celebration is scheduled, again live on the TRM network.
