The young man was with his father and was climbing from the Premuda Refuge to reach the small church of Santa Maria in Siariis.

He fractures his tibia in Val Rosandra and is airlifted to hospital

However, when the two were 50 meters from the church they left the path and found themselves faced with rock jumps 4-5 meters high and the boy, trying to overcome one of them, detached a block which made him fall and it fell on his limb, causing a deep wound.
The rescuers, together with the 118 health workers, stabilized the limb and placed the young man on a stretcher, assisting the air rescue team who was winched on site in the meantime. The young man was winched on board and taken to Cattinara hospital.
