There FeralpiSalò is ready to face the penultimate match of the regular season with the aim of maintaining the desired importance for the last day, which will call Ternana to visit the Garda players in what the green and blue team hopes will be a sort of play-off to access at least to playoffs.
180′ from the end, Mr. Zaffaroni’s freshman finds himself four points behind play-offs-salvation and in Laguna they have the obligation to win the points necessary to reduce the disadvantage (even if only to -3 behind the red-greens). An intent which, unfortunately, does not allow any way out and which, above all, will have to deal with the opposing intentions of the orange-greens who, by now, have seen Como (now at +4) and the direct promotion in Serie A, but who cannot afford to lose points at home both to avoid endangering their self-esteem and, above all, to secure in any case that third place which could offer significant advantages in the final sprint to conquer third and last useful ticket to move up to the top division.
At the “Penzo”, therefore, a “real” match is about to take place between two teams who are called to give their all to collect three points, without being able to settle or even let themselves be guided by particular tactics. Mister Zaffaroni is also aware of this and, even if, essentially, FeralpiSalò is hanging only on mathematics and is forced to perform a sort of sporting miracle to save herself, she asks her players to think about playing this match, without looking at the standings and without any type of conditioning outside the green rectangle of the “Penzo”.
In this sort of “mission impossible” to be brought to a happy conclusion, the green and blue coach nwill not be able to count on Butic, Di Molfetta, Manzari and Tonetto, while he hopes he can recover Martella to reintroduce the defense with more experience together with Ceppitelli and Balestrero. For the rest, forward with the midfield that offers the greatest guarantees at the moment, while up front La Mantia, who is closing in style a season that has long been lacking in satisfaction, should compete again in the company of Dubickas, favorite over Compagnon. The additional element, which will have to overturn every prediction for the Garda rookie, will however have to be the awareness of playing for the last opportunity to be able to continue to hope and to demonstrate that this FeralpiSalò, despite the long and tiring pursuit in the rear, deserves to remain in the Olympus of Serie B.
