The prevention activity of the State Police continues in the city and in the province. Over the last week, in the entire metropolitan area of Bari, 3012 people were identified and 1091 vehicles were checked. 28 traffic violations were detected, 3 due to lack of compulsory insurance coverage. 16 people were arrested and 15 were reported to be at liberty.
In particular, in the city of Bari the police identified 1800 people, stopped and checked 579 vehicles, contesting 14 violations of the highway code. 5 people reported in a state of freedom, for various reasons, 15 arrests: 4 people were arrested for theft, 4 for carrying weapons or objects capable of offending, 3 for detention for the purpose of dealing drugs, 1 for acts persecutors and 3 in execution of provisions of the Judicial Authority.
In the province, the policemen of the five detached PS police stations, together with staff from the “Central Puglia” Crime Prevention Department, identified 1212 people and checked 512 vehicles. 14 infringements of the Highway Code were reported. 10 people were reported in a state of freedom, 1 was arrested. Territorial control services will continue in all areas of the city and the entire Metropolitan Area.
