Twenty teams from all over the world Sicily they will compete tomorrow, 5 May 2024, from 10am, at the former Mandalari field, for the second Messina cricket tournament organized by Anolf Messina in collaboration with Cisl Messina and with the Super Lions team. The initiative, entitled “Sport and Integration”is part of the InterculturalFest 2024 event promoted by the union.
“The Sri Lankan community once again offers us the opportunity to learn about various facets of their culture – say the general secretary of CISL Messina, Antonino Alibrandi and the president of Anolf Messina, Yohannes Gebrehiwot – today it does it with sport, opening up to the territory and showing one of the aspects of their life. Integration also comes from this, from knowing each other and sharing moments of joy. For the Anolf of Messina it is a duty to be there, to contribute to the growth of these values within a society that increasingly needs positive stimuli aimed at hospitality”.
