Five days of workshops dedicated to exploring the figure and role of the producer, from development to distribution: we are talking about Forward Trentino Producers Lab, now in its sixth edition, held in conjunction as per tradition with the 72nd Trento Film Festival. Today was the last day of discussion for the twelve participants in the workshop, one of the few proposals of this kind at an Italian level, which aims to strengthen creative and editorial skills and develop entrepreneurial planning skills, with the aim of promoting the creation of a network between colleagues at regional and national level.

The two producers, Nadia Trevisan (Nefertiti) and Erica Barbiani (Videomante) guided the participants through focus and plenary sessions. In detail, topics were touched upon such as the creative contribution of the producer in the development of the projects, the diversification of the typology of the projects and the composition of the creative team, but also the identification of the stories and the different roles in the development, the relationship between the producer and the financiers , co-production, budget and financing strategies.
Furthermore, there were three in-depth masterclasses with industry experts, which focused on contracts and copyrights with the lawyer Elisa Vittone, on the world of industry events and co-production forums with the WEMW Market Manager Alessandra Pastore, as well as on the role of film commissions and regional funds within the production process with the director of the Film Commission Luca Ferrario.
FORWARD is a professional training and mentoring laboratory for emerging producers, promoted by Trentino Film Commission in collaboration with Trento Film Festival, RE-ACT (Regional Audiovisual Cooperation and Training) and CNA Cinema e Audiovisivo.
