Work on the Foligno-Terni railway line, a month of inconvenience

From 4 May until 8 June, commuters using the railway route between Foligno and Terni will have to deal with significant changes to the circulation of trains, due to the construction works maintenance programmed on the tracks. During this period, it will be essential to follow the instructions provided in the stations, especially in Foligno and Terni, where updated information will be available both through information signs and through Trenitalia staff of the FS group.

Main changes to traffic:

  • Frecciargento Rome-Ravenna: These trains will be canceled in the direction of Ravenna from 3 May to 7 June and in the direction of Rome from 4 May to 8 June.
  • Intercity Milan-Terni: They will be interrupted in the Foligno-Terni section. Instead, buses with shuttle service will be available.

  • Intercity Night Rome-San Candido: On June 7, this train will be diverted via Orte-Florence, making a stop in Orvieto.

Replacement bus service: During the works period, passengers will be able to use replacement buses that will cover the Foligno-Terni route. These shuttle services will have timetables and stops adequate based on road traffic conditions. Bus stops will be located near the stations of Foligno, Spoleto and Terni, as well as in Baiano, Campello and Trevi, where mini buses will be available to facilitate transfers to the main connection points.

Please note that it will not be possible to transport bicycles or large animals on the replacement buses, with the exception of guide dogs for the blind.
