Former ultra feigns illness to get out of house arrest, caught working in the centre
He ended up in prison again 52 year old from Verona who, just over a year ago, was arrested for the crimes of extortion and robbery. Thanks to the investigations conducted by the State Police, the multiple criminal was unmasked after trying several times to escape from house arrest: the 52 year old, in fact, he pretended to be in serious health conditions, but secretly worked as a security guard in the city centre.
Multiple offenders since 1992, under house arrest since 2003
Having been convicted several times since ’92, he had numerous criminal records against him fraud, robbery, extortion, aggravated theft, violence and threats to public officials, drug dealing, slander, defamation and stadium crimesfor which he had already been daspato in 2007.
In 2023again, it was convicted of the crimes of extortion and robbery: at the time of the facts, the Court of Milan ordered the execution of the sentence against him in home detention regime because of serious health conditions from which he was found to be affected and which required constant contact with local health facilities. Precisely for this reason, the 52-year-old was authorized to leave his home only for health reasons and after mandatory notification to the Anti-Crime Division of the Verona Police Headquarters.
Illness turns out to be an excuse
But his illness has repeatedly proven to be an excuse and, in the last month, a real fiction. In fact, he already was last year warned by the Supervisory Court because tracked down by the State Police outside your home and without having been authorized.
Twice again, then, he had already been unmasked by the police: after receiving a communication from him in which he declared that he had to go to hospital for a medical examination, the officers then ascertained that in reality, in those days, he had not been subjected to any control or therapy.
Caught working in the center of Verona
But the latest, most serious, attempts to deceive the police were foiled a few days ago, when the 52-year-old was recognized by an off-duty policeman while he was wearing a company’s security uniform at an event in the city centre: even on that occasion, obviously – as later ascertained by the agents of the Anti-Crime Division – the removal from his home was not authorized nor communicated to the office.
The subsequent investigations conducted by the police made it possible to ascertain not only the umpteenth violation of the prescriptions given with the conviction, but the evident worsening of his profile of social danger: reasons why the 52-year-old from Verona ended up in handcuffs again. This time, he will have to serve his sentence in prison.
