Venice Region Convention Bureau Network director of Next Stop Veneto

Venice Region Convention Bureau Networkthe regional network that promotes Veneto in Italy and abroad as an ideal destination in the field of “meetings & events” tourism, was the director of Next Stop Veneto seventh edition, an important promotional initiative which this year saw Rovigo as the venue for the workshop at the Salone del Grano of the Venice Rovigo Chamber of Commerce.

24 participating buyers, divided between relevant corporate and event agencies and selected with care and professionalism by Mice & More, a leading company in the meetings industry at a national level.

Like every year, the program saw guests participate, on Friday 12 April, in a first educational tour in the host destination where the “Terre fra Adige-Po” revealed charming villas, palaces and residences of great charm and versatility as a venue for events.
On Saturday 13 April, the participating companies met the representatives of the 7 convention bureaus of Veneto in the workshop and then left to continue their journey in groups towards Venice, Padua, Vicenza, Verona, Treviso, Belluno.

A great success of the initiative in discovering and rediscovering in Veneto an increasingly rich and articulated offer of highly professional structures and services capable of responding to the different needs of the agencies that organize corporate and/or scientific events, of the corporations that directly deal of training courses, team building, incentives and wedding planners.

Venice Region Convention Bureau Network, in addition to the presentation, last February, at the BIT in Milan of two new thematic videos dedicated to MICE and Wedding, and to the organization of Next Stop Veneto, it has completed the restyling of the regional brochure “Meetings & Events” and is preparing to plan a road show training project for 2024, as well as participation in the next edition of Italy at Hand which will take place in Turin in November.

“With the Rovigo event – he comments the Regional Councilor for Tourism Federico Caner – we close the cycle of rotating events presenting all the MICE (Meeting Incentive Congress Events) destinations in Veneto. A sector which for our Region has always been characterized by great professionalism of the entire supply chain, capable of generating added value to Italy’s leading tourist economy, completing its already varied tourist offer.

From the data – adds Caner – it emerges that a third of the events in the North East and a tenth of the national total are held in Veneto: a very positive picture that confirms how the regional Meeting Industry, also thanks to the careful direction of the Venice Region Convention Bureau Network , is in full recovery after the crisis period due to the pandemic.”
