OLBIA. Even this year, from 6 to 10 Maythe week of typical cuisine dedicated to Gallura soup returns to the school canteens of Olbia.
The food education plan promoted by the municipal administration together with the Solaria cooperative provides for the dissemination and protection of the cultural and culinary traditions of the area, through the reappropriation of the regional food heritage.
“The project intends to involve pupils, teachers and parents with differentiated proposals and actions – declares the deputy mayor and councilor for public education Sabrina Serra -. For a good, healthy and sustainable school canteen there is a need to develop skills and a culture of good food linked to our tradition and the protection of the environment and resources. With these initiatives we want to dedicate meal time at school to the rediscovery of ancient traditions and flavours. The typical product is the product of a place, which jealously guards the links with its origins and history”.
