VIDEO. Cianciaruso (AEA): one thousand jobs in Bergamo in two years

Azzano San Paolo, 3 May. (askanews) – A thousand more jobs, in a strategic sector such as aeronautics, in the space of two years. It is a fundamental contribution – both in terms of training highly qualified human resources and in terms of impact both on employment and on the economic growth of the sector – that provided by thanks also to the recent partnership signed with a giant of the caliber of Ryanair. A collaboration that will see the Irish airline invest 10 million euros intended for the creation, over the next two years, of 1,000 jobs, including engineers and aeronautical mechanics, in the Bergamo area. “The Academy is fundamental. We in Italy are among the very few, if not the only ones, who can offer not only a training course, but immediate entry into the world of work – Alessandro Cianciaruso, CEO of Aircraft Engineering Academy, tells askanews – So much so that today we almost have 100% placement: that is, all the people who enter our Academy are absolutely hired by us at the end of the training course. Therefore we are a fundamental player precisely for the training of this profession which is increasingly difficult and increasingly requested by aeronautical world, in Italy and in Europe. Ryanair, which is our main customer for the maintenance part, has become one of our main customers, if not the largest, also for training. So they will send their staff from all over Europe to train right here at the Bergamo Academy”. Alongside the high rate of specialization, one of the Academy’s strengths is its ability to promote social inclusion, thus guaranteeing training opportunities and employment also for underrepresented groups. “We are open: we work with people from all over Europe but not only Europe, people from India and Pakistan. And so we are very careful about this – continues Cianciaruso -. As regards subcategories, therefore people who may have a chance compared to others to approach these courses, we have recently launched (and we will continue to use them) courses made for people who already work today, perhaps as mechanics in workshops or body shops. We take them, we start hiring them, we train them in a very short time to be able to carry out limited activities, always within the aeronautical world”. Cutting-edge training courses, capable of responding to the needs of a constantly evolving sector, precisely because they are based on the use of the latest generation technologies, starting from Artificial Intelligence.” Evolution is constantly growing. Therefore we are always looking for improving technologies so that the entire process, even if sanctioned by aeronautical regulations, can still be supported by these new technologies – explains the CEO of Aircraft Engineering Academy -. Just last week we announced the release of our first course made entirely with AI: it will be a course dedicated to the Safety Management System through the use of this new technology. Technology that we would like and will certainly ensure is increasingly present in our future training courses.”
