It drops by approx 500 thousand euros the takings for the month of April at the Sanremo Casino, compared to last year, also due to many ‘super winnings’ by customers. The month ended with a collection of 3.7 millionrespect to 4.2 of 2023. Of the 3.7 million collected, 3 come from slot machines. Also the trend of the first 4 months of the year unfortunately it is downwards, i.e. 15.8 million euros, compared to 16.6 (-5%) in the same period last year.
They were 90 super prizes worth more than 5,000 euros awarded, for a prize pool of almost 900,000 euros and will make many holidaymakers and poker players remember their holidays in April, Sanremo and their visits to the Casino rooms. Since the beginning of the year, winnings exceeding 5,000 euros have been awarded for a total of 3.7 million.
The month just ended was also characterized by the arrival of the players involved in theItalian Poker Open 2024, with a guaranteed prize pool of 1 million euros. From April 27th players from all over Europe, especially from neighboring France, will flock to the ‘Poker Room’ to take part in the two weeks of tournaments which culminate with the 550 euro Main Event. Up for grabs is a guaranteed super prize pool of one million euros, which could, based on registrations, rise even further.
