BUSTO ARSIZIO – The prolonged winter does not make a dent the success of the patronal feast of San Giuseppe: sold out sometimes even during lunch breaks and queues in the evening for dinner. «This is also thanks to our new heated tent» he reveals Mario Cislaghi, column of the Friends of Saint Joseph. Meanwhile the “Giuseppino d’Oro” goes to Roberto Colomboparish administrator, among the most precious collaborators of the parish priest Don Giuseppe Tedesco. And this evening, Thursday 2 May, there is the special guest Angelo Machiavello, Mediaset journalist war correspondent.
Everyone in the queue
He has been running in Busto Arsizio for years now the joke about the feast of St. Joseph which brings rain for two weeks. A “legend” that was confirmed again this year, with the long weekend between April 25th and May 1st characterized by bad weather and winter climate. However, the Festival has never been affected, not even this year, also because the Friends of San Giuseppe were farsighted enough to install a extra large heated tent complete with an internal stage: so you can eat, sing and dance even in the rain and cold.
The program
And so the Festival program continues at full speed, with sold-out lunches and dinners. After the evening dedicated to Angelo Machiavello’s war reports, there will be Sunday 5 May the stalls of the street vendors of Insubria in viale Stelvio with the recovery of the performance of Hammer Archers from the Altomilanese Park and the afternoon with the DJ Malditaloca. It closes on Sunday 12 May with the procession with the Statue of Saint Joseph and the drawing of the lottery prizes.
