Art exhibition curated by Dorotea Virtuoso
From Friday 10th to Sunday 12th May, at the Manlio Rossi-Doria Institute, the personal exhibition-event of Dorotea Virtuoso will take place, an artist who has always been committed to issues such as gender violence and is close to local non-profit associations and bodies .
The event, completely free and open to the public from 10:00 to 17:00, will be held at the Atelier HoReCa in via Filippo Visconti and will be a unique opportunity to admire the works of the graphic web artist from Campania who, at starting from 2023, he will donate part of the proceeds from the sale of his paintings to charity.
Dorotea Virtuoso’s career was born in 2012 and, since then, there have been numerous personal exhibitions, such as the one at the deconsecrated church of San Severo al Pendino, with an attendance of 5 thousand people, and at the Palazzo delle Arti in Naples from 1 to 16 August 2017. Other important personal exhibitions took place at the “House of culture and youth” in Pianura (Na) and, in Avellino, at the “F. De Sanctis” in 2017 and at the Carlo Gesualdo theatre.
His paintings highlight the faces of women of all ages and backgrounds, with their insecurities and their purest and most authentic feelings such as the famous work “The Kiss” which, from February 2021, can be admired within an artistic installation located in the small square of Via Trieste e Trento in Avellino and which in 2015 also won the first prize ‘Saint Valentine’.
In November 2019 the artist published a book entitled “Poetry in a glance“, his poetic manifesto, which highlights the fusion between art and poetry.
An event not to be missed, therefore, which translates for the students of the Manlio Rossi-Doria Institute, supported in the preparation of the exhibition by the curator Tina Sprintoso, into a precious interdisciplinary experience to be carried out as part of the training activities of PCTO in order to enhance the skills and organizational capabilities in the curation of an exhibition-event of such an important artist.
